J A N S O N   S H I P B R O K E R S -   in brief

Since 1980  a Shipbroker Company in Norway which specializes in Sale & Purchase of fishing vessels, national as well as international.

We are a Member of the Norwegian Shipbrokers' Association.

Fishing vessels
Sale and purchase of fishing vessels is our core business. We also mediate other tonnage. Please check out our lists.

Internet
1995 we implemented, as one of the first shipbrokers in Norway, our own Web-site. This has been upgraded many times since then, and we hope you find this present version even more user-friendly.

Competence
The sale and purchase of vessels entails in general a substantial amount of documentation and paperwork. This applies particularly to tonnage in the fisheries sector where the rules and regulations are in constant change.

Personnel resources
Our staff includes two lawyers, a.o. with job experience at the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries in Bergen.

Activities
Our main tasks comprise assisting our clients in the sale and purchase of vessels, in a sound and efficient manner, at all stages of the process. Our competence in this work stems from almost 40 years of experience.

Purchase
For an intended purchase, we offer a comprehensive service to find a suitable vessel for sale, new buildings or second-hand. All the essential data are procured to enable our clients to assess the offers in full confidence.

Sale
If you intend to sell, we advertise the vessel worldwide via our international network of contacts and clients.

Market evaluations
As known, the market value of a ship may vary noticeably, also during a short period of time.
For various principals, be it owners, financial institutions, insurance companies, police, lawyers etc. we therefore assume assignments for market value assessments.

Customer relations
Our aim is to fulfill consistently our clients' demand for security, profitability, awareness and service, also after the deal is concluded.

Conduct
Extract from the Norwegian Shipbrokers‚ Association "Codes of Conduct for brokers"

A shipbroker shall seek to secure the best terms for his principals. He shall, at all times, act in the best interests of the principal, and must not be deluded into acting for the sake of his own gain, if such actions are to the detriment of the principal. He shall strive to prevent any conflicts of interest.

Yours faithfully
